We’re a small creative agency specializing in branding, graphic design, typography, illustration and printmaking. Urban Ink has recreated identities and spaces, created online experiences, and collaborated on award winning public art and design. Nearly 15 years ago, we became passionate with letterpress printing, and now own two Heidelberg Windmill presses, a platen press, and a Vandercook proof press. We began creating paper goods for ourselves, and have since decided share them with others by launching YOUI Paper Co.

The name YOUI is derived from the annunciation of our design studio’s acronym U.I.. At its core, it’s about bringing people closer together, which is why we’ve removed the space between you and I. In french YOUI translates to TOIMOI which was our product’s original name, and still appears on the backs of a limited run of cards. We’re also embracing the quirkier annunciation of you-ee as we strive to be light-hearted and playful despite our more rigid design backgrounds.
